Companies that help Trump’s inaugural fundraising record
At his second inauguration, Donald Trump helped Donald Trump’s fundraising record at his second inauguration.
Many gifts have been announced before, but the newly released list provides more complete accounting and spans over 650 donors. The list is also a list of celebrities for U.S. companies, with donors ranging from OpenAI (OPAI.PVT) CEO Sam Altman to Chevron (CVX) to current members of the Trump administration.
All in all, these donors helped Trump’s inaugural committee get a net of $239 million drag. That figure doubled the previous record of $107 million, which was raised at Trump’s first inauguration eight years ago.
Most of the largest companies in the United States – Alphabet (GOOG), Amazon (AMZN), JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Meta (Meta), NVIDIA (NVDA) (NVDA) and many more – are all represented on the list, with each product offering allocable donations.
Many of these companies were also significantly represented during Trump’s inaugural ceremony in January.
The document proves the massive support of the business world that Trump has seen during his return to power – the president’s tariff focus has in recent weeks raised uncertainty about these companies and weighed its supply chain and share prices.
The donations are intended to pay for Trump’s swearing-in ceremony on January 20. A complete accounting of how the money is spent and whether there is a surplus and the plan for that fund will not be disclosed until later.
Poultry producer Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation (PPC) provided $5 million, the largest donation in the document. The cryptocurrency subsidies also donated generously, with blockchain company Ripple Labs providing nearly $4.9 million, and stock and cryptocurrency trading platform Robinhood (Hood) added $2 million.
Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (Coin) is one of the companies that offer $1 million, as are well-known brands from Anheuser-Busch (Bud) to Pfizer (PFE) to Verizon (VZ).
In fact, after the wave of public statements on the day of the inauguration, more than 120 donors donated $1 million to the committee, when various companies committed to donating.
The documents show that many top CEOs have also personally given the payment, such as Apple’s Tim Cook, Uber’s Dara Khosrowshahi and Citadel’s Kenneth Griffin, just some of the characters who wrote a million dollar check.
