Zelensky reacts to Putin’s Easter ceasefire
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed doubts about the unilateral Easter ceasefire announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday.
“As for Putin’s sirens for air strikes in many areas of Ukraine, it’s sounding right now,” Zelensky wrote on Platform X.
It is reported that 45 minutes before the ceasefire came into effect, Ukraine saw Russian combat drones in the Ukrainian sky. Ukraine’s air defense has opened fire.
Zelensky criticized: “The drones in our sky show Putin’s true attitude toward Easter and human life.”
The president initially provided no information on whether Ukraine would also stop fires on Easter.
The moment the Kremlin announced a unilateral Easter ceasefire, the Ukrainian capital Kiev also triggered a missile alarm.
