Yankees’ jazz Chisholm Jr. posted referee on social media after ejection

New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. was ejected in a victory over Tampa Bay Ray Thursday night, but he could be in more trouble after he appears to be violating the tort MLB Social media policy.

Chisholm was expelled from the seventh inning on the third strike call from the plate referee John Bacon. After the fight, Chisholm was eliminated for his fifth career.

But the argument won’t end as Chisholm enters social media to further denounce Bacon’s appeal.

“Not even close.” Chisholm wrote in an article on X, then deleted it.

Chisholm reportedly made the announcement a few minutes after his ejection, while the game was still in progress. This post clearly violates Major League Baseball Social Media Policy prohibits the use of electronic devices in games.

According to the policy, the “electronic device” cannot be used 30 minutes before the game begins until the conclusion is concluded. Furthermore, the policy prohibits any content “question or otherwise devalue the impartiality of the referees of major or minor leagues.”

Chisholm’s actions on Thursday appeared to have violated both rules.

After the game, Chisholm told the media that he did not believe anything he said before the ejection guaranteed that he was kicked out of the game. He added that his comments may expel him after a call.

“I’m a competitor, so when I go out there, I feel like I’m right, what you say to me, I don’t think makes sense, I’m going to get fired and get frustrated,” he said.

“I lost my emotions, I lost my calmness. So, at the same time, I still have to be able to stay there and defend for my team. That’s why I’m here.”
