The 33-year-old reportedly filed a civil harassment restraining order against Janelle Anwar of Los Angeles County Central District Court. The temporary restraining order is usually kept in place until a hearing involving the defendant, at which time the long term order is approved or rejected.
Currently, Anwar has been reported to have to keep at least 100 yards away from Donald and his wife, brother and four children and is prohibited from contacting him, harassing him and possessing a gun. A hearing is scheduled to be held on May 7.
In the petition, Donald reportedly claimed that Anwar began harassing him in 2020 and began sending him packages and stalking him. She allegedly sent him a Google chat message in March that threatened the life of his 3-year-old son Aaric.
Donald reportedly said Anwar thought they were both married, but he had never seen her. The petition claims Anwar applied to Donald last month to disband the marriage, seeking spouse support for a $1,500 and $6.5 million settlement, although Donald claims he never served the petition and was found only through notices from the NFL Security Office.
Donald retired from the NFL in March 2024, ending their 10-year career with the Rams, their time in St. Louis, seeing him nodding in 10 Pro Bowls, eight first-team All-Pros, three Defensive Player of the Year Awards and a championship at the Super Bowl LVI.
