The video captures the person who was dragged out of the car after the window was crushed by ice. His lawyer says they have the wrong person

Agent Ice smashed a Guatemalan’s car window and forced him out of the car during a chaotic immigration arrest in Massachusetts, and the man’s lawyer said their goal was wrong.

Juan Francisco Mendez, 29, and his wife Marilu Domingo Ortiz, sat in a car in New Bedford, Massachusetts on April 14 when they were approached by immigration agents in search of a man named “Antonio.”

When Mendez told agents that he wasn’t the person they wanted – Antonio reportedly was a former resident of the Mendez building – they asked him to exit the vehicle anyway.

Mendes said he wanted to wait for his lawyer to arrive, when they smashed windows with pickup-like tools and removed them.

When Mendes’ attorney Ondine Galvez Sniffin arrived at the scene, his client was already in handcuffs.

“They said they were looking for someone,” Sniffin told WBZ Boston. “I said that wasn’t my client…I know the history of my client, that wasn’t him.”

Mendes’s wife and 9-year-old son are protected in asylum after the family fled Guatemala. Mendez was waiting for documents while in custody to finalize his asylum identity.

He is currently being held in a detention facility in Dover, New Hampshire, but Snyfin said she could not get more information about potential charges or why she continued to detain.

ICE agents and police attended a January meeting ahead of Chicago’s immigration raid

Mendes’ arrest is the latest virus clip for President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Earlier this week, federal agents faced a video of a Venezuelan in a New Hampshire court and in the process promoted an elderly bystander – shared by multiple media outlets.

Arnuel Marquez Colmenarez, 33, accused of misdemeanor charges related to suspected drunk driving on February 9 at Nashua Circuit Court on February 20, but before he was taken to court, he was thrown to the ground and was detained by agents and detained by agents.

An older man walked with a cane and fell into a melee, falling on his back.

Later, a judge issued a substitute order after Marquez Colmenarez failed to appear in court for arraignment. The Associated Press reported that the prosecutor handling his case did not contact the agents or was aware of the arrest before the interrogation was made.

As of Monday, April 14, Marquez Colmenaraz was held at an immigration and customs enforcement facility in Texas, according to an online database.
