Education Secretary Linda McMahon issued a warning to those who still allow trans athletes and trans athletes in women’s sports in a social media post on Tuesday.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order in early February to ban biological men from participating in girls and women’s sports. However, some states have refused to comply with the order, and the NCAA, which changes its cross-convergence policy, faces criticism for potentially allowing loopholes in its rules.

McMahon caught everyone’s attention.

“For all entities that continue to allow men to participate in women’s sports and use women’s intimacy facilities, there is a new sheriff in the town,” she wrote on X.

“The Trump administration will no longer let you escape denying women’s civil rights.”

Several high school track and field associations have failed to comply with Trump’s executive orders, but the biggest dispute has happened between the Trump administration and Maine, which has only escalated in months since the order was signed.

Maine lawmakers send letter to Trump condemn Gov Janet Mills for trans athletes in women’s sports policy

On Tuesday, Maine state senators signed a letter to the White House denouncing Janet Mills’ governor for continuing to support the cross-border of the women’s and women’s movement. 14 senators wrote that Maine’s current policy has enabled transgender inclusion to violate the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act and Chapter IX.

Last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) frozen the state’s funds and has referred it to the Department of Justice for ongoing trans women’s sports.

Maine officials filed a lawsuit against the USDA on Monday against the frozen funds. Trump and Mills have a public quarrel, and Trump vows to see the Democratic governor in court on this issue.

Recently, American fences, disc golf and NCAA women’s boating have also come under fire for allowing biological men to compete with women.

Ithaca College allowed trans athletes to compete in its team earlier this month due to policy changes that would allow trans athletes to participate in their team competitions. The trans athlete competed in the Cayuga doubles but only competed in the third varsity competition, which was not included in the NCAA championship. Ithaca calls it a “misunderstanding.”
