Susan Crawford wins Brad Schimel in close watch Wisconsin Supreme Court election

Wisconsin voters elected Susan Crawford to the state Supreme Court on Tuesday, and the Associated Press predicted that the court’s 4-3 liberals, who supported her conservative rivals, were upheld by the setbacks of U.S. President Donald Trump and his billionaire Ally Elon Musk.
The election is widely regarded as an early referendum on President Trump’s presidency. According to a statistics from the Brennan University Center for New York University, the movement could easily be the most expensive judicial contest in U.S. history, with candidates, state parties and outside groups spending more than $90 million.
County Judge Crawford defeated conservative Brad Schimel, a former Republican state attorney general and county judge.
As the court balanced, Musk and the political groups he contacted spent more than $21 million in support of Schimel.
