Gaza protests enter day three, with hundreds of rallies against Hamas rule

Witnesses told the DPA that on the third straight day, hundreds of Gaza residents took to the streets to protest Hamas’ rule and the ongoing war with Israel.

Demonstrators called on Hamas to leave the territory, and protests took place on Thursday at several locations in the coastal area, according to local residents and Palestinian media.

Posts shared on social media seem to indicate that protesters hold signs that read “Hamas eliminated” and “Hamas is a terrorist.”

Hamas warned residents not to support Israeli interests. The withdrawal of the group from power has been a key goal of the Israeli military movement.

Protests against Hamas are rare in Gaza, with radical groups known for their harsh crackdowns on internal rivals.
