London’s Heathrow Airport closed all Friday, closing one of the world’s busiest airports and causing global travel disruptions after losing power due to a fire nearby.
The closure destroyed the important travel centers of Britain, Europe and the world. Every day, an average of 220,000 passengers traveled through 90 airlines to more than 180 destinations worldwide last year.
The plane is scheduled to arrive from Vietnam, India and Brunei on Friday morning, and passengers are expected to take destinations such as Tokyo, New York and Riyadh.
Heathrow Airport advises passengers not to go to the airport as it will be closed by at least 11:59 pm local time.

The problem started with the fire nearby.
Heathrow Airport said earlier Friday that it was caused by a power outage, which was caused by a fire at the electrical substation provided to the airport.
The London Fire Brigade said it had been called up in the fire in western London late Thursday, with dozens of firefighters deployed. About 150 people have been evacuated in the area.
The fire brigade said the cause of the fire was not yet clear.
The fire brigade said nearby homes and businesses were also affected. British Energy’s Scotland and Southern Power Network said about 16,000 customers were powerless earlier on Friday.
The ripple effect will be global.
According to Flightradar24, the closure of Heathrow Airport will affect at least 1,351 flights entering and leaving the airport. When the closure was announced earlier on Friday, 120 aircraft scheduled to arrive at Heathrow Airport were aired.
Flightradar24 said some were transferred to London Gatwick Airport, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Charles de Gaulle Airport, including alternative airports. Others start to return to their origins.
Pat Goulbourne, assistant commissioner for the fire, said the damage caused by the fire is expected to spread until Friday morning.
“We expect significant disruption in the coming days and passengers should not go to the airport under any circumstances until the airport reopens,” a Heathrow spokesman said in a statement.
British law protects many travelers facing disruptions.
