4-year-old boy dies after driver crashes into Los Angeles building and escapes
A 4-year-old boy was killed Tuesday night when his vehicle was riding hit a building in the Crenshaw area, Los Angeles police officials said.
The driver, an unidentified woman, fled the scene before police arrived, and left the boy’s mother and the third passenger behind LAPD official Charles Miller, said. Police initially said the driver was a man and then provided an updated description Wednesday morning.
Police said the car was a white Infiniti FX35 and hit a building near Crenshaw Boulevard and Rodeo Place around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The driver was wanted for escaping from the crash.
The boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Other passengers were taken to the hospital for serious injuries and expected to survive.
