Although April tends to reach the top of the mountain, it has a wild sense of freedom, places like Carlsbad in San Diego attract thousands of visitors each year by planting vibrant fields of giant Tecolote ranunculus. Enter the ocean of colors as you visit the flower fields of Carlsbad Ranch. Located in northern San Diego County, Carlsbad is a family-friendly destination with a laid-back atmosphere, but spring creates a range of tourism, with visitors from all over the world looking to take some photos and glimpse at these breathtaking areas. The colors range from pink to red to yellow, forming a huge 55 acres of giant Tecolote Ranunculus. The winter-to-spring transition in Washington North Karst County brought PNW wildflower madness. Only about an hour outside of Scottsdale, Picacho Peak State Park is known for its towering cactus, jagged red peaks and spring wildflower flowers. The peak season for wildflower viewing tends to occur in late March and April, and if you’re lucky you may even occasionally encounter one of these super blooms. If you are an avid hiker, try your hand on the challenging Picacho Peak via Hunter Trail and enjoy some of the best views of the surrounding landscape.
