One officer was killed and another shot in Newark, New Jersey

A police officer was reportedly killed in a shooting in Newark, New Jersey on Friday night, and another officer was injured.
The shooting happened after 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Carterret Street and Broadway.
Fox 5, New York State New York State was taken to a university hospital where it was pronounced dead.
The injured officer is in critical condition, according to a Facebook post by the New Jersey Police Benevolence Association.
According to Fox 5, a suspect was shot and a pistol was found.
