Ukraine (AP) Kiev, Ukrainian authorities said Saturday that two people were dead and at least 17 were injured as Russian drones attacked the southern Ukrainian port city of Odessa overnight, Ukrainian authorities said Saturday.

Emergency services say a drone hit a residential tower in the city, causing damage to three floors and capturing residents. According to district governor Oleh Kiper, the two were killed in the attack, a married couple, who added that there were three children in the injury.

Moscow did not comment immediately. More than 40 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, and on Saturday morning, western Russia and the Kremlin-occupied Crimea.

Long-range drone strikes have been a symbol of war and are now in their fourth year. Racial developments on both sides are becoming more and more complex, and drones turn war into test scenes for new weapons.
