The former Disney star got a reaction Saturday after opening the show’s hit songs like “Bed Chem” and “Espresso”. Carpenter’s show wore a red lingerie ensemble, with British residents threatening broadcaster Ofcom as the segment showed before the 9pm watershed. According to the BBC, the 9pm watershed policy is designed to prevent unprogramming for children’s broadcasts.

Although some viewers are angry, others are impressed by creativity.

On Sunday, Carpenter – who won the Global Success Award at the UK Awards – participated in social media, shared a series of photos and videos from the UK Awards, cleverly writing: “I know what a watershed is now!!!”
Carpenter’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

A representative from OFCOM told Fox News Digital that they plan to release an audience complaint report on March 5. If they receive more than 50 complaints about the performance, Carpenter’s performance will be recorded.
Carpenters have always been loyal to their identity, especially when expressing themselves through art.
“This is my diary,” she said in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2024. “Once I put it there, that’s someone else’s explanation. I try not to tell someone a song that clearly is what it is about.
