“Squid Game” Season 3 Review: Can Netflix’s largest series stick to landing?

“Player 456, do you still have confidence in people?”

That’s the problem Squid GameIn the third and final season of the show, the leader (Lee Byung-Hun) asked Gi-Hun (Lee Jung-Jae). But this is also a question the show asks the audience. We have witnessed countless atrocities over the past three seasons. We have seen players in the affluent elite pit fight against each other in their sports. We’ve seen the faceless defender waving the players down. We even saw players stab each other in the back (sometimes literally) to shoot with extra cash. After all, do we still have hope for humanity?

Squid Game In Season 3, this question is raised again and again, and the new deadly game presents a new moral puzzle, each one being more frightening than the last. These sequences are the definition of nails, recapturing the horrors of Season 1 and Season 2. However, they often introduce twists and turns Squid GameNews about economic inequality (which is no longer particularly subtle), any keen comments from the past. Instead, the performance beat the audience to the head with comics. It’s enough to make you think that creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk has little confidence in the audience, even if the show comes to the right cruel conclusion.

What is it Squid Game Season 3 About?

Squid Game Season 3 achieved results after the rebellion against the game ended in Season 2. He lost several key supporters in the fight to end the game, including his dear friends Jung-Bae (Lee Seo-Hwan) and New Ally Young-il, who was in the game when the former man entered the game. (The worst thing is: Gi-hun still doesn’t know about his betrayal.)

Gi-hun felt introverted by planning an uprising, and began with the shell of his predecessor. There is no longer a passionate effort to stop people from voting to continue the game, but just bewildered by his being alive among all. Lee had little conversation for most of the season, which allowed him to perform a scorching physical performance, switching between resignation and anger to something more nurturing and protective. The former performed the most in the confrontation with Dae-Ho (Kang Ha-neul), whose panic attack in the Season 2 finale left the rebellion without ammunition. Gi-hun’s revenge nature naturally seems to be exactly what his ex wanted: the gastrointestinal tract loses confidence in humans like him.

However, this hope and faith show itself elsewhere, especially in Hyun-Ju (Park Sung-Hoon), Geum-Ja (Kang ae-sim) and Very Pregnant Jun-Hee (Jo Yuri). The loyalty of these women to each other is still unwavering, proving that the gastrointestinal belief in humans has not been misplaced. This is one of the worst places to work when Jun-Hee does eventually give birth! – Protecting her and her children brings new driving force to Gi-Hun.

In the Olympics, the existence of a true newborn baby is a physical manifestation of Gi-hun’s hope for the future. It also further establishes the level of evil of the game, especially when the group of viewers decides: “You know? Let the baby be a player.”

The top story of chaos

The problem is, we already know that the game is evil. We’ve known since the beginning of the entire series! However Squid Game Continuously bumping it into our minds in more and more ridiculous ways, many of which turn this horrible dystopian hell landscape into an unintentional comedy.

The return of the VIP covered in gold, they acted as commentators for most of the season. With their bad performances, bad voiceovers and bad conversations, this one is mostly white and mostly male billionaire tanks Squid Game Has been established. These wealthy characters must have something to say: Although they think the players are subhuman, they are actually two-dimensional monsters. But the over-reliance of VIPs as a gilded peanut gallery weakens the intense drama of the game itself and reduces the Squid Game A ridiculous train wreck once.

I don’t even like VIPs, and there are even a lot to add to the show. When they start foaming in their mouths for players to kill babies, it doesn’t bring new dimensions to the horror of the situation. We know killing babies is bad!

The same goes for other players to respond to the baby who joins the competition. Those who firmly vote for the game to continue are ready to take the child’s life in order to get a portion of most of the prizes. This is the selfish final boss, which brings these players into the same comic field as VIPs. (But the performance is better.)

To be fair, comic level is the focus. Throughout the process, Squid Game How inequality under capitalism leads to dehumanization has been analyzed. We see it in the way the game erases identity: the player is reduced to numbers, with the defender hiding behind the mask. However, trying to kill the baby is beyond everything. It aligns the bloodthirsty players with the VIP, almost proving the ex, because he believes they are not humans. Well, for Gi-hun and his allies, the challenge becomes hope even in the face of the worst evil.

But again Squid Game Always interested in how his character maintains the last moment of hope and connects in the middle of a nightmare. All infant words are not as natural, thoughtful dialogue as the messaging sledgehammer at the Temple.

Nevertheless, despite these discussions being exaggerated, even if your logical ego might be thinking, “They won’t kill the baby, right, even if your logical ego might kill the original worry, right?” Indeed, if you think Squid Game No more pressure, please wait until you look baby Participate in the game.

The game itself is still frightening, and the riffing on hide and seek and skipping rope causes the fear of existence. (And, if you’re afraid of heights, the last game is sure to be a fool.) Many of the terrible surfaces and impossible choices in the moral dilemma Hwang offers his character. How much will they sacrifice to live? By the end, is any survivor (or audience) confident in the world that gave birth to this cruel circus? Just like stupid Squid Game Season 3 can get (I mainly blame VIP), which is the issue once the game is finished.

Squid Game Season 3 is now on Netflix.
