Handcuffed woman steals LAPD patrol car and escapes arrest in Hollywood

Police are looking for a woman who said she stole a LAPD patrol car and escaped after police were handcuffed and initially detained her.
According to Officer Jeff Lee, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a report from Franklin and Orchid Avenues in Hollywood at around 11:50 p.m. Monday. There, they arrested a woman in a gray hoodie and blue jeans.
Lee said the woman was handcuffed and placed in a patrol car, but she was somehow able to drive to the steering wheel and then head to the hills before abandoning the car in Camrose and hiking away from Paramount.
The officer stretched the area but no suspect was found.
Foxla reports that the woman is destroying the Porsche SUV and damaged the windshield when she was arrested. However, LAPD was unable to confirm these details with Times.
