Israeli protesters demand “all” of hostages release
Thousands of protesters in many Israeli cities have called for a ceasefire to continue and more hostages to be released during the Gaza war.
As the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas ended on Saturday, people gathered in Tel Aviv, Haifa and other cities.
In Tel Aviv, activists have sat hostages on the Gaza Strip on the street wearing iron chains and masks since October 2023.
On the ground, they seized the need to release the rest of the hostages in Hebrew: “all people.”
Currently, Islamists in the Gaza Strip have 59 hostages. Of these, only 24 are still alive.
In the video message, Russian-Israel citizen Alexander Trufanov, who was imprisoned two weeks ago, said: “I think every day of the hostages is still there.”
“It will accompany me every hour, every minute of every day.”
Trufanov urged: “Don’t let revenge, the feeling of anger and anger go beyond the values of unity, brotherhood and the sacredness of human life.”
Hamas rejected the first phase of the ceasefire deal that Israel sought and released more hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
Hamas demanded the implementation of the second phase, which would end the war. However, Israel insists that its war aims to completely undermine the terrorist group Hamas.
So far, no progress has been made in the indirect ceasefire negotiations in Cairo.
Israeli media reported that the military was already conducting in-depth training to restore the war in the Gaza Strip.
Hostage video release
The earlier Hamas released another hostage video.
The video was shared on the telegraph channel of the militant group, titled “Time In But” which included Iair Horn’s brother Eitan Horn, who was released after being imprisoned for nearly 500 days.
The video was recorded shortly before IAIR release, showing the two brothers crying and hugging. A message on the video reads: “Let everyone leave, don’t separate the family. Don’t destroy our lives.”
Israeli officials classified the videos as Hamas’ psychological warfare, which are believed to have been filmed under duress.
In the video, Eitan Horn speaks to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, telling him to sign the second phase of the hostage deal.
Hostage families and supporters there held placards at the demonstrations held at the beginning, demanding an immediate consensus to release all hostages. Israel Hadari/Zuma Crew/DPA
