Microsoft just dropped a free AI video tool and it’s very easy to use

Microsoft has a new free tool that allows you to create AI-generated videos: Bing Video Creator.
If you’ve ever wanted to turn a quick idea into a video without accessing editing software, Microsoft’s new AI tool is probably your favorite trick. The company has just launched Bing Video Creator, a free feature that allows you to generate short videos from text prompts. No fancy skills or schedule scrubs are required. Just enter your ideas and let the AI do the rest.
When I spin, it takes less than a minute to clip the five-second bing logo in the pool and pop up next to the flamingo and donut floatie. It’s weird, fun and impressive, especially for free tools that live inside the browser. If you’re doing anything about this AI video generator (or just want to make a silly summer themed clip), that’s how it works and expects.
The 5-second video Bing video creator’s framework was stirred up. The water rotates gently, floating and swaying gently.
The feature is only available on the Bing Search mobile app, but according to the company, it will go to Windows desktop and secondary record searches and is powered by OpenAI’s Sora Video Technology. Bing Video Creator joins other major AI-driven video creation tools, including Sora from Chatgpt, Adobe Firefly, Google Veo, Google Veo, Runway and Meta Movie Gen.

How to use bing video creator
Finding or using Bing video creators is not immediately intuitive, especially if you haven’t used Bing search apps yet. In the Bing Search app, I access the feature by clicking on the box at the bottom right of the home screen.
This brings many applications in the application. Look for the video creator in the lower left. There, you can create still images or videos by entering text prompts. Use the Quick Option (default) to generate a short video instantly.
If you don’t want to look for this feature, you can also type “Create Videos for…” directly in the main search bar of the app. You can download and share videos.
When I tried it, I found that the video was not of high quality and downloading it directly from the app was not easy. Share a link to a video created and view it outside the app, providing the option to download a full video.
Microsoft says it will make your video creation available for 90 days.
Selection of AI video generator
The entry for Microsoft’s entry into AI video production offers people another free option, which seems to be targeted at casual users.
Many people working in the AI business, such as Tanium’s Director of Security and Product Design Research, Matt Psencik, who launched these products last year led by Sora. One of them is impressive, Psencik said.
He told me: “Google launched Gea 3 for Gemini, a brilliant thing in the permanence of objects, physical and overall visual loyalty. These developments began to eliminate the boundaries between ‘obvious AI-generated’ and ‘convincing realities’.”
The risk is that realistic video generation can be exploited with deep effects or attempts to hijack someone else’s identity, Psencik said. Most AI video generators have guardrails or filters about what users can ask for generated content, whether it is to avoid copyright issues or prevent hate speech and publicity.
However, Psencik told me that this did not stop AI robots from posting fake videos online, and many people cannot separate except reality.
“With AI-generated videos that are almost indistinguishable from reality, it’s only a matter of time before these tools are often weaponized regularly to imitate real people,” he said.
