Court documents say

Plainsboro – The Trenton man allegedly murdered his girlfriend strangled her to death with a wire and then hid her body under the bed.

Rahim Johnson, 43, is accused of murdering 26-year-old Victoria Lee, who was reportedly missing on January 30.

During a police interview, Johnson admitted to arguing with Lee on January 24 and claimed she cut him with a knife. He said he tried to stop her, but because he was “not there”, he wasn’t sure if he had something to “handle with” with it, which might be a possible reason.

Court documents state that Johnson said he was “coming” and that Lee was dead, so he hid her under the bed, took her cell phone and used it with her banking app.

Criminal complaints show that wires were used to strangle Lee.

On January 30, Lee’s father reported his disappearance to the Plainsboro Police Department.

Her father last saw his daughter at her Plainsboro home on January 24, and her daughter’s boyfriend, Rahim “Yak-qui” P. Johnson, also lives at home.

Lee’s father said he had last seen Johnson at his home on January 25, which was a possible reason.

After Lee’s disappearance, several people told police that they had received her request through their Zelle and Cash App accounts.

Lee’s bank records show that Lee’s transactions during Lee’s disappearance were conducted in Trenton, including until February 25 when police found her body.

In addition to murders, Johnson, who has a criminal record, was charged with third-degree illegal possession of weapons and fourth-degree possession of weapons. He was held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in North Brunswick.

Johnson was arrested in Trenton on February 26 for parole violations. Johnson was released from prison on October 23, 2024, and his criminal record dates back to 2002, which dates back to 2002, according to the state Department of Corrections website.

The website also lists prison sentences that refuse to arrest/escape, endanger children’s welfare, burglary, acceptance of property theft and simple attacks.
