Enable this hidden iPhone feature. Your eyes will thank you

According to my iPhone, I spend over 8 hours a day on my phone – YIKES. I’m sure I’m holding mine iPhone Sometimes it’s close to my face, especially at night, which may be why sometimes my eyes feel uncomfortable, like I have something inside. Fortunately, there is a hidden iPhone feature that helps me and others (called screen distance) take care of our eyes better.

This feature warns you when you hold your iPhone or iPad too close to your face, just like having your parents tell you to sit further away from a TV or computer screen. Although having a screen near your face may not hurt your eyes, it can stress and irritate them, according to health care organization Cedars-Sinai. Thankfully, this iPhone feature is designed to help reduce eye strain. According to Apple, it can even reduce the risk of myopia or myopia.

This is how to turn on the screen distance and give your eyes a rest.

Open screen distance

1. Open set up.
2. Tap Screen time.
3. Tap Screen distance.

You will then see two screens explaining what screen distance is and how it works. Tap continue On both screens, the screen distance automatically opens after these screens. These two screens enter screen distance for the first time.

Now, after a few minutes of putting your iPhone close to your face, your screen is read by a message: “The iPhone may be too close.”

When you put your iPhone close to your face for too long, the screen distance will block your screen.

Your screen is blocked until you put your iPhone further apart. Then, your screen displays a checkmark that you have to click continue Delete blocks.

Close screen distance

Screen distance is a useful iOS feature that reduces eye fatigue and even reduces the risk of myopia. But if you find warnings more annoying than useful, then this is how to turn off screen distance.

1. Open set up.
2. Tap Screen time.
3. Tap Screen distance.
4. Click toggle next to Screen distance.

Now you can get close to your face as you want without interrupting your phone or your parents.
