Amid growing demand for CHATGPT, Openai opens offices in Seoul
Seoul (Reuters) – Openai will establish its first office in Seoul and an entity in South Korea as the country’s demand jumps up to serve its CHATGPT, the company said on Monday.
According to Openai, South Korea has the largest number of paid CHATGPT subscribers after the United States.
The company said Openai has also started recruiting staff to support partnerships with the country and hopes to announce more details on the matter in the coming months.
“Korea’s full-load AI ecosystem makes it one of the most promising AI-impact markets in the world, from silicon to software, to students to seniors,” Chief Strategy Officer Jason Kwon said in a statement.
Earlier this year, Openai announced that it would use Chat App Operator Kakao to develop artificial intelligence products for South Korea.
According to local media reports, the Trustee, who is visiting Seoul, will hold a meeting with officials from the main opposition Democratic Party and the ruling BJP.
