Foster immediately ran to the scorer’s table, holding his hand under his nose to stop the blood from playing.

Before he stuffed his nose, he was sent by a trainer and a towel to stop the bleeding.

Foster has been an NBA official since the 1994-95 season. He is often called an “expander” because teams behind in the playoffs are becoming increasingly infamous for winning games he hosts.

He is also quite synonymous with Chris Paul, who became synonymous with a 3-17 run in the playoffs hosted by Foster. Paul was sitting in court when the injury occurred.

The Thunder took a 2-0 lead with the help of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who dropped 38 points after being appointed as the NBA’s MVP 24 hours. OKC won 118-103.

“I feel like all my emotions are high, but I’m a little tired, especially at the beginning,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “I’m a little too squeezed. Special moments. I’m glad we won, so I can really enjoy the last few days and soak. It really helps.”

Jalen Williams scored 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Chet Holmgren contributed 22 points for the Thunder.

Minnesota closed 10 times in the final period, but Oklahoma City made the Timberwolves late.

Anthony Edwards scored 32 points, but it took him 26 to get them. Jaden McDaniels scored 22 points and Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 17 points to Timberwolves.
