Singer and composer Jill Sobule kissed a girl and died after death

Award-winning singer-songwriter Jill Sobule, whose witty and poignant writing has attracted widespread attention in the first place I kissed a girldied Thursday in a house fire. She is 66 years old.

Colorado concert is a tribute

Sobule is known for raising funds to control her career, so she can make her next album. In 2008, after two major record labels abandoned her and two independent record companies went bankrupt on her, she raised tens of thousands of dollars from fans so she could make a new album.

“The old paradigm, you’re waiting for other people to do things, you’ll have managers and agents,” she said. “You’re waiting for big record companies to give you money to do things, and they tell you what to do. It’s great. I want to do something like this.”

According to her website, Sobule’s performance was scheduled to be held in the United States in October and was scheduled to perform in Denver on Friday night. Instead, her PR staff said her friend Ron Bostwick will hold an informal party from Colorado sounds in the 105.5 performance space where attendees can “share stories or songs.”

A formal memorial to celebrate her life and heritage will be held later this summer.

“No one makes me laugh more. Her spirit and energy will be greatly missed in the music industry and beyond,” Craig Grossman, her booking agent, said in a statement.

Sobule was born in Denver on January 16, 1959, describing himself as a shy child who prefers to observe and participate.

She is known for her annual performances and describes live performances as fragile experiences. She said she often doesn’t have a fixed list and wings.

Her brothers and sisters James and Mary Ellen Sobule, as well as her nephew and cousin, survived.
