Kamala Harris explodes Trump policy in key speech after leaving office

Former Vice President Kamala Harris, in his most sharp remarks about President Trump’s departure since his departure from office, has warned of an imminent constitutional crisis on Wednesday.

“Now, I know that tonight’s event coincides with 100 days after the inauguration,” she told about 500 people at a fundraising party at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. “And I’ll leave it to others, taking into account all the things that have happened so far. But I’m going to say that, rather than trying to raise the highest ideals of the United States, I’m witnessing the wholesale abandonment of these ideals.”

The end result, she said, — cuts the size of the administration, privatizes services, gives wealth and cuts tax breaks to public education — predated Trump, the result of decades of efforts to reshape national norms and safety nets.

“It’s an agenda. A narrow, selfish vision of America, they punished the counter of truth, favored loyalists, took their own power, and made everyone work for themselves,” Harris said. “All of this is giving up allies and retreating from the world. What people are experiencing now is exactly what they imagined of America. Now, we live in their vision of America. But it’s not the vision Americans want.”

A Trump spokesman dismissed Harris’ comments.

White House spokesman Steven Cheung posted on X: “Failed losers desperately cling to the relevance.”

Harris’s speech about 15 minutes in a fundraiser focusing on the election of the Female Democrats is growing speculation about whether she will run for California governor in 2026 to replace so-called Governor Gavin Newsom. Harris has been criticized by top Democrats on the campaign for not declaring her intentions so far. Harris, 60, could give up that game and instead decide to run for president for the third time in 2028.

Harris has made several appearances in public since losing his presidential election in November, but largely avoided the political unrest that has consumed the country since leaving office in January.

After losing the presidential campaign, Harris spoke with students in the Maryland Legion Services annual program. Harris is with Firefighters and volunteers Within a few hours of Trump’s inauguration, he attended a Broadway show, accepted the February NAACP awards, and was unexpectedly at the national meeting of Black Women’s Business and Political Leaders at Dana Point.

In these appearances, Harris talks about the erosion of rights of the minority, women and LGBTQ+ communities under Trump without mentioning his name and promises to remain active in politics.

But Harris’ speech on Wednesday was her most sharp remarks yet, taking place one day after Trump’s 100th day of office, starting her political career by election of district attorney in 2003, and her first stop in California in California after becoming a Democratic presidential candidate in 2024.

Harris believes that citizen objections are the most powerful and effective way to stop Trump’s policies.

“We all know that President Trump, his administration and his allies count on fear to be infectious. They point out that if they can make some people fear, it will have a fearful effect on others,” she said. “But they ignore what they ignore, it is fear not the only thing that is infectious. Courage is infectious.”

She noted that American protests against Trump’s policies were spoken of “the biggest artificial economic crisis in modern presidential history.” She said these policies are increasing the cost of living and the value of unretired savings, threatening social security and deportation of citizens and others without due process.

“All these American courage inspired me,” Harris said.

Harris said she has been asking her thoughts these days, pointing out viral videos of elephants at San Diego Zoo Safari Park, forming a circle during the earthquake this month to protect their calves.

“Once they feel the earth shaking under their feet, they are in a circle and standing next to each other to protect the most vulnerable people,” she said. “That’s a powerful metaphor for thinking about it.”

Harris said that while some people use fear to split and conquer, the animals show the power to stand together.

“The lesson in the face of a crisis is not to be distracted. Instincts have to find and connect with each other immediately and know that the circle will be strong,” Harris said. “I’m not here tonight to provide all the answers, but I’m going to say this here: You’re not alone, we’re all together. Direct conversations, things can get worse, and then they get better. But we’re ready. We won’t spread. We’ll stand together.”
