The mesh backrest is wide enough to go from shoulders to love’s handles to make my body just right. I won’t call Comfortable, But I feel very supportive, but I haven’t experienced any back pain. (It has a 275 pound weight.) I wish there were more lumbar support adjustment options, though. You can only move up or down to match the curve of your spine, but I find it digs too much and I’ll pull it out if I can.

The distance between the seats was as naked as their arrival. You can’t twist or move them away from the body or further away – just up and down. (Technically you can make it wider or narrower, but you have to unscrew them from the frame and adjust the position.) It works fine, but I’ll push them forward a little if I can. As for the casters, they were walking around my hardwood floor, but I can’t say how they rolled on the carpet.
Budget problems
Over the past few years, I’ve tested nearly 60 chairs, with the northernmost $350. When the chair does go past my desk (hey), it’s under $200, the chair is not well constructed and has too many flaws, which is why you can’t see a lot in my best office chair guide.
Dexley is flawed, but it’s still a solid chair and I’m happy to recommend it for anyone on a strict budget. Unlike some of the chairs I’ve tried, it doesn’t squeak or make a horrible sound when you move in the seat, and you get a nice range of tweaks. But if you can save another $100, your money will add to chairs, such as Branch’s ergonomic chair (which will look better, too).

The first result of Amazon’s “Office Chair” is this nameless gaming chair, priced at $100, which you might think is a better option. It also looks more comfortable. But I beg you: Don’t buy it. I spent a few years on one of these cheap “race cars” chairs and ended up suffering from severe lower back pain (so what drove my search OK Office chair. Dixley will provide you with better service.
If not, that’s good news. You may have a staple food store nearby. If the chairs are in stock, please continue to try it out. This is a luxury item for office chairs that exceed many budgets or even mid-price. Staples offers free rewards if you choose to buy online. If you don’t want to bother with the deconstructed chair and ship it back to the chair, you can take it to the staple store to handle the proceeds as long as you include everything and are still in its original state. This is a wise way to make sure you like your seat, budget or not.
