What is a hot dome? Terrible weather phenomena return to the beginning of summer

This is the east where I live and have been there for a few days. Although upstate New York heat has allowed me to work with the internals of the air conditioner explosion, it is nothing compared to other parts of the United States that are now suffering from one of the worst weather patterns in summer.

If this is a new phrase for you, keep reading, I’ll break down what is a hot dome and what causes it, please give more help, read CNET’s list of hackers to keep your home cool in the summer.

What is a hot dome?

Alex Lamers of the National Weather Service told NPR to think of a hot dome similar to putting a lid on a pan or skillet while cooking something.

The hot dome occurs when the high-pressure system hovers, causing hot air to get trapped under it, causing long spikes of temperatures. Just like the way you cover the lid or on the pan, capture heat and cook food faster. Except in this case, the food is you and me.

This also makes the situation worse because high-pressure systems are known to cause dry weather, which can also lead to higher temperatures.

According to the heat map provided on the official website of the National Integrated Thermal Health Information System, the heat risk is elevated in most areas between the Midwest and the lower and East Coasts of Mississippi, with the Hatefter in Eastern North Carolina, Central Virginia, Pittsburgh area, Southeast Pennsylvania, Southeast Pennsylvania, Southeastern Maryland, New Jersey, most people in Deldriat and all high altitude hatter.

In the worst areas, temperatures can be as high as 115 degrees, while others may hover between 95 and 100 degrees. It’s everywhere, it’s a kind of weather, not a situation that makes the prospect of a power outage a life or death.

How long does the hot dome last?

I hope I have better news for you.

Unfortunately, it is well known that hot domes can last from days to weeks, all depending on how long it takes for the high-pressure system to continue to move forward or dissipate in a given area.

Although Accuweather reported on June 24 that the upcoming rainstorm will provide relief to certain areas, not every area will be as lucky. In some areas, the thermal dome will be seen gradually breaking. So if you want something tough without opening communication, it may be time to rethink.

Will climate change worsen the thermal dome?

Oh, absolutely.

Bill Gallus, a professor of meteorology at Iowa State University, published a report on the current heat wave to Time magazine, said the cause and effect questions are “one of the easier questions to answer.”

He explained that the hot dome is one of the possible consequences of worsening climate change, even greater than other related weather events such as increased tornadoes and more powerful hurricanes.

“There are a lot of things that are complicated and we can’t be sure what climate change to do, like how many hurricanes or tornados we get,” Garles said. “However, we’ll likely have more hot domes and hotter temperatures in the hot dome.”

How to avoid hot domes?

From now on, you may be able to tell from all these explanations, not to do with the thermal dome except getting rid of it.

This may require staying in a cool place, or going to some places that don’t suffer under a high-pressure system. Maybe heading to the West Coast, my other CNET colleagues (I’m not jealous, never had it), promise-insist on the weather being positive. Hope you all have fun there.

Or hey, maybe try the old summer standby and watch a movie in a nice air-conditioned theatre. That new F1 movie looks neat.
