Maine State Representative Laurel Libby was given the state legislator’s right to speak five months after she identified a trans athlete’s social media post.
The Supreme Court restored Liby’s voting rights on May 20 after filing a lawsuit against the condemnation, but until now, her right to speak has been retained. Libby is still filing a lawsuit against Maine Speaker Ryan Fecteau, causing the entire condemnation to be overturned.
Libby told Fox News Digital that she walked into the state capital Wednesday without realizing that the right to speak today would be restored until the meeting ended, and she and the others were ready to go on a recess.

Before the recess, Lori Gramlich, the Assistant Housing Majority Leader, proposed a resolution that after the recess, Libby’s full vote and speech rights will be restored. The resolution was passed by a 115-16 vote.
“It was a surprise, it was our 33rd addition of the day, and it was on the floor within minutes,” Libby said.
Liby’s condemnation was originally adopted on February 25 with a vote of 75-70. Libby said there is no reason to end the surprise solution to condemnation. But she believes it is because of her motivation in the lawsuit and public objections to trans athletes in the women’s sports.
“The Democrats know that they lost on this issue, most of the masters, and Americans disagree with their extreme positions, allowing biological men to participate in the girls’ sports,” Libby said. “They know they lost on this issue, they know that they lost the court in the lawsuit I filed about me… so they are in trouble because they know they are failing, which is the best way for them to save their faces.”
Maine teens fight with state Democrats for Women’s Sports Act after lasting trans athlete chaos
President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that states only allow women to compete, but several Democratic-run countries, including Maine, have violated the order and continue to enable transgender.
The U.S. Department of Justice and Attorney General Pam Bondi even filed his own separate lawsuit against Maine continuing to violate the order.
Libby has been a central figure in the conservative reverse of Democratic policy, enabling Democratic policy to be incorporated into Maine’s women’s sports. In addition to the lawsuit against Fecteau, Libby has repeatedly criticized Mill for her refusal to comply with Trump.
It began with her Facebook post that identified a trans athlete who won a women’s pole vault contest at Greely High School in February, prompting a counterattack from Democrats in the state who criticized her for identifying minors, a major premise for her condemnation. However, she and her lawyers believe that trans athletes have been promoted in other media.
The same cross athlete then skipped the spring track and field state championships in early June.

one investigation The American Parents League found that of about 600 registered Maine voters, 63% said school sports participation should be based on biological gender, while 66% agreed that “it is fair to limit women’s exercise to biological women.”
Many Maine residents and even the entire school district compete with Mills’ policies against Libby. Maine’s school districts RSU 24 and MSAD No. 70 both passed their own local resolutions to retain only the attractions for girls. Since February, three large-scale protests have also been held against the current policies of the state’s capital Augusta.
