We have another Hollywood sequel. Deadline Report Aaron Sorkin will direct Social Network IIThe film’s follow-up documented Facebook’s development and subsequent lawsuits against Mark Zuckerberg. The next movie will look at the inspiration for 2021 Wall Street Journal Facebook and the company failed to address the harm caused by these issues.
Sorkin’s career as a writer has been a long one, including Social networkbut as the director in the resume, only three credits. At the moment, there is no production date for the film, and it is not clear whether the original actor will return to his role, most notably Jesse Eisenberg as Zuck.
Facebook certainly has many potential inspirations for biopics. Just over the past six months, the platform has dug a deeper hole for itself as it tries to memoir with some of its former employees. Facebook is also its third-party fact checker and has figured out its own hate speech policy, no surprise, followed by violent content and harassment. But given all the negative blow to Facebook’s reputation, viewers may not be excited about spending two hours or more simmering on all the bad things the network does.
