Russia has launched nearly 29,000 Shahed drones since the beginning of the war
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia attacked Ukraine with 28,743 brands developed by Iran.
In June alone, there were 2,736 such attacks, he said in a speech to the Dutch Parliament on Tuesday.
He said the Russian military has been using drones in its three-year war of aggression, mainly in repeated attacks on residential areas during night attacks.
Zelensky said Russia would not be able to do this without the “Iranian regime.” “Moscow never really respects an alliance and always betrays its so-called ‘partners’, but still establishes relations with the bloody regime. With such ‘friends, Russia just strengthens its killing power.”
Zelensky stressed to the Netherlands and other Western allies that, on the other hand, Ukraine cannot shoot down most of these drones without the support of its partners. The two-day NATO summit is currently held in The Hague, with Russia’s war against Ukraine being one of the main themes.
