Samsung’s new Galaxy Folding Sauce to announce unpacked event on July 9

Samsung is preparing to debut its next foldable Galaxy Z phone, which could include follow-ups to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The company will hold an unpackaged event in July, where it showcases its latest devices and Galaxy AI updates.
The event will be held in Brooklyn, New York and will be broadcast live on Samsung Newsroom, Samsung com and Samsung’s YouTube channels. Unpacking kicks Wednesday,,,,, July 9, at pt/pt/10 AM ET.
Samsung has been teasing its upcoming foldable for the past few weeks. In early June, a Samsung Newsroom post noted that the company brought the “super experience” to “a smaller, more portable shape.” Obviously, this includes a “powerful camera” and “AI-driven tools”.
The company said in another blog post the following week that “the latest Galaxy Z series is by far the thinnest, lightest, and most advanced folding case.” It seems to be in the footsteps of the slim and lightweight Galaxy S25 edge released in May.
Samsung seems to be particularly focused on expanding the capabilities of its foldable camera with the help of AI. It noted in a subsequent blog post: “Camera only gets smarter – helping users capture moments of life more vividly and make everyday experiences more seamless, personal and impactful.”
Animated invitations to the July Unpacked Event begin, showing the slim side profile of the device, then dividing it into two phones. One of these phones folds like a book, and the text on the screen ends up saying “Super Expand”.
Samsung may reveal the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Z Fold 7, and then launch the Z Fold Ultra. There is also the murmur of a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE phone. Leaker Evan Blass shared a rendering of the rumored device that appears to be similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, but the phone can swap the Snapdragon chip for an Exynos processor. Meanwhile, renderings of the flagship foldable Galaxy Z Flip 7 show that Samsung can notch the physical camera and select edge-to-edge cover display. But we have to wait and see the company’s store.
There are also rumors about the Galaxy Watch 8, although Samsung has not yet made its debut on the unpacking as it does with a foldable phone.
