The media is back here gasoline prices
Just five days ago, we introduced the media’s attempts to drive people to the crazy thing about the alleged soaring gasoline prices. Well, that didn’t happen, there’s some serious backs going on now, so we’re doing it for that.
Find out which automaker is having serious trouble with rare earths.
The war between Iran and Israel will automatically cause oil and gas prices to soar, so everyone should come out in the June 13 panic and fill the tanks, which will not cause any temporary fuel shortage at all (wink blink).
But luckily, people didn’t fall. Here we are June 18, and according to the AAA, the national average of conventional gas is $3.18, just 6 cents higher than a week ago.
We don’t directly admit that panic is unfounded and we’ll receive some interesting mixed messaging. For example, CNBC published an article this morning about how oil industry analysts are now confused because prices are more than just overnight.
We find that the situation in the Middle East is uncertain at the moment. Of course, Iran may cause trouble when blocking trade routes, which will delay oil transport, etc.
But we are not everything disastrous. The media panic seems to have become a routine thing, especially after it works well during Covid. We can’t say this empirically, but anecdotes, we know that many people are just burned in the constant statement of threats.
Perhaps this situation with Iran has indeed gone out of control and even turned into a conflict, with Russia and China participating in other countries. If this does happen, while gas prices will almost certainly climb, we think most people will focus more on larger fish.
