A former Massachusetts financial analyst accused of killing her Boston police boyfriend in a drunken crash is awaiting her fate after her second long trial in a small court in Dedham.
Karen Read, 45, faces murder and other charges, died at 46-year-old John O’Keefe, who had occupied orphans and nephews, who seemed to want to end the relationship.
The jurors spent less than two hours deliberating on Friday and returned to their first day on Monday.
“People want to know why we haven’t made a verdict,” said Massachusetts trial attorney Grace Edwards. “I think the jury is working to understand the requirements of each count and through their efforts.”

OJ Simpson played nine months in the 1990s double murder trial in the death of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
The two were brutally stabbed to death outside Brown Simpson’s luxury apartment in Los Angeles.
The former NFL star’s legal “dream team” prevailed – jurors found him innocent in less than four hours.
More than a decade later, Simpson was found civic responsibility and was jailed for robbery. He died last year after fighting cancer.

A Florida mom is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, and Casey Anthony is being tried for murder, homicide and aggravated child abuse.
Caylee disappeared for a month before her grandparents reported her missing.
The jurors spent about 11 hours deliberating within two days before reaching an agreement on the charges. They found that Anthony did not kill or abuse her daughter, but they found that she was lying to the police.
Until today, no one has been convicted of the death of a child.

After six weeks of trial (estimated twice), the jurors considered less than three hours and found he had committed two murders plus weapons charges.
Murdaugh is currently in prison for life. The court clerk has been charged with several felony crimes in his case, including allegedly lying to the judge, for which he demanded a lie to Murdo’s case.

Despite the extensive time and outcomes of these trials, New York City defense attorney Louis Gelormino told Fox News Digital that the longer jurors that were considered by jurors in Dedham meant reading.
“My first homicide trial was the longest deliberation in modern history in New York City,” he told Fox News Digital. “Hong jury. Three months later, they tried him again and we were acquitted.”
