Minnesota State Councilor shooting suspect Vance Boelter arrested in Sibley County

Minneapolis – Suspect Vance Boelter is accused of shooting and killing four Minnesota lawmakers, killing two and being captured Sunday.

Boelter, 57, is accused of killing people Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman Her husband, Mark, was at her home in Brooklyn Park in Minneapolis early Saturday morning. He is also accused of shooting state Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette at nearby Champlin’s home.

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News that Boelter “verbally” determined the authorities to look for him in the area Sunday night.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo of Bault’s arrest, calling him “an evil face.”

“After the relentless and determined police work, the killer is now in custody. Justice is closer as multiple agencies have contributed to multiple agencies with the support of the community,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.

Minnesota Criminal Arrests Bureau (BCA) Director Drew Evans said Sunday that law enforcement officers tried to find and arrest Boelter on federal and local arrest warrants.

Evans said: “There is information that led us to search in Sibley County … in Sibley County. He encouraged anyone in the Sibley County area to see any suspicious person contacting the police.

Evans said authorities are screening 400 tips and describe Sunday’s search as “mobile.”

Authorities say the suspects carried out a planned attack on lawmakers, appearing in their homes wearing police-like uniforms and masks.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Democrat of Minnesota, shared information about Hoffman’s wife on Sunday, saying that the state’s senator was shot and killed nine times and she was eight times.
