Florida Panthers hit the brink of the Stanley Cup title by defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 in Game 5 on Saturday

Connor McDavid was 3-0 behind the Oilers for his first goal. Reinhart arrived after 46 seconds to restore the Panthers’ three-point lead, and it was too late when Corey Perry had 3:13 left.

Skinner may return to Game 6, while the Panthers aim to put things over after another transcontinental trip back to another corner of North America. They bounced back in Game 4 and rebounded in overtime, using their depth to send the oilers to the edge again, and they are in this place.
