As far as personal beliefs are concerned, “the Mormon guide doesn’t say you can’t do ketamine, but it’s in the gray area,” Affleck added.

Some clinical studies have shown that ketamine treatment can be effective in treating severe depression in veterans.
“Ketamine works like an antidepressant that can help someone distract someone’s negative thoughts and feelings,” said Rolando Larice, MD, MD, director of Sana Lake Recovery, Missouri.
Studies have found that ketamine treatment is effective in treating severe depression.
According to Mayo Clinic, the drug is believed to create more connections between brain cells, a process that is believed to relieve depression and reduce suicidal thoughts.
Dr. Justin Gerstner, a psychiatrist and chief medical officer at Ellie Mental Health in Minnesota, had previously told Fox News Digital that he used ketamine therapy in his practice.

“For many of our clients, it’s quite transformative,” he said.
A practice applies ketamine to a client through IV injection and works with psychotherapy.
Gerstner’s practice usually administers ketamine to clients through two to three hours of IV injection therapy before and after treatment.
It is intended to be used in combination with antidepressants under the supervision of medical professionals.
