Trump administration is turning ice raids and protests into reality TV

Since then Earlier in the year, President Donald Trump’s administration has been committed to building a self-sustaining digital media ecosystem to support its controversial immigration policies. The system is now working overtime as protests bubbling in Los Angeles and planning nationwide, creating a blow to AI-generated Slop and Reality Tevervision-Style-Style content.

The protests broke out on Friday, and soon after immigration, customs law enforcement officers carried out a series of raids targeting the Latino community in Los Angeles. CNN reported that reality show star Phil “Phil” McGraw (a new merit TV network embedded with immigration officials during the ICE raid Friday. MERIT TV announced in a press release that its video will be aired on “2 Nights TV” Monday and Tuesday. The broadcast includes an exclusive one-on-one interview with Trump’s border Tsar Tom Homan. (Homan has been on the MERIT TV website.)

“Dr. Phil Dr. Phil and Tom Homan broke the multi-institutional raid against Cartel businesses in the Los Angeles Clothing District,” said a TV email about Monday night’s show. “The high-impact action sparked intense public protests due to the unclaimed $80 million unannounced import case, with the determined unpaid tariff of $17 million and 41 undocumented immigrants being detained. Homan addressed the growing rebound and explained a zero-tolerance policy for federal law enforcement interventions.”

It is unclear where the highly specific numbers mentioned in the news email come from, or, in other words, the sources of information about cartel-related claims by affected businesses. Homan and other law enforcement heads have repeatedly threatened protesters and even California politicians to be arrested. Trump also said he would arrest California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Maga’s independent influencers also spent the weekend disguising themselves at the Trump administration’s conversation points. Rogan O’Handley, who was through DC Draino Online, posted an AI-generated video on Instagram on Sunday, where he posted a trump video on Instagram where he beat a man wearing a Mexican flag wearing a dirt bike. When the man fell, a victorious Trump raised the flag and magically turned into the flag of the United States.

The post’s caption reads: “Margo won the universal suffrage, and that’s what we want.” It currently has over 50,000 likes.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA and host of the same-named podcast, posted on X, apparently trying to rally right-wing outrage against LA in support of the Trump administration’s budget plan. “Are you angry at what you see in Los Angeles? By BBB [Big Beautiful Bill]. Watch and support the bill. We have to take back the United States,” Kirk released Monday.

This is not everywhere. The Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration has been broadcast on TV and the internet for months as influencers and content creators were invited to join Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials on the radio and ride.

“That’s a very conventional thing. Tiktok’s libs are embedded with Tommy Rachelon,” conservative influencer CJ Pearson told Ridealongs. “I was asked, too, so, I think there will definitely be more.”
