Playdate Season Season 2 is here, bringing two new games to the quirky yellow handheld handheld every week until July 3. Season 2 begins on May 29 in Arcade Action Pivot Defender – From the back studio FTL: Faster than light and – and Pleasant calm dig! dig! Dinosaur!. “Surviving for 10 minutes!” When I first started reading it sounded almost a threat “How to play the guide”. With all the on-screen information you need to pay attention to, the many types of enemies you will be attacked, and the various weapon upgrades you can get throughout the run, and a lot of enemies worth attracting, I’m ready for my intense and complex game experience. But, while it may be closer to the case in hard mode, I found Pivot Defender Not a punishment for shooters in normal mode. It’s a challenge to be sure, but one goal is a surprising goal that I can enjoy without losing my mind. At least until the marker is crossed 10 minutes. After that, all hell was loose.
exist Pivot Defenderyou position it in the center of the amphitheater and must resist continuous enemies. Your shield will suffer damage when the enemy collides with it, and once the area is violated, the game will end. To avoid this, you need to aim them at weapons and shoot at D-Pad with cranks. Some enemies can be shot at once, but others (featuring their fill appearance) require multiple guns. Over time, you will get weapon upgrades to build a more powerful defense system that includes large, guided projectiles and an option to eliminate several enemies in one scan.
This is surprisingly addictive. The music is both beautiful and calm, and while you are surrounded by enemies and try to not die at any given moment, keeping the whole thing in a pleasant atmosphere. Once I realized it was absolutely possible to survive for 10 minutes or even surpass that, I was tried to beat my high score over and over again. I would love to see the global rankings of this game at some point because I only know that I will be put into the time that some players can last.

dig! dig! Dinosaur!
I can’t think of anything I would rather do now than pretend to be a paleontologist and dig up bones casually. No idea, just dig. That’s it dig! dig! Dinosaur! Continue, it’s great.
You are part of the crew (which consists entirely of anthropomorphic animals) at the location of some very unusual dinosaur fossils, and digging new bones and artifacts is your job. Once the entire skeleton of a particular dinosaur has been obtained, it can be scanned in the lab to reveal how it is alive. This information, coupled with the peculiar artifacts scattered around the scene, depicts photos of some very strange activities that took place a long time ago. For example, some of these dinosaurs appear to have grown crystals from their bodies and it appears they have been warned of asteroid extinction events. fishy!
The gameplay is extremely low bet – this is the game when you just want to open something that will keep your hands busy. You are equipped with a shovel, drill bit and a radar gadget to detect items below the ground without time-sensitive targets. But you only have so much energy that every tool to use will consume. When you run out, the turn is over. However, you can visit as many as you can for each website to find all the dinosaur fragments hidden there, so this can be a very casual job if you want.
It was a really wonderful time and there was an interesting story that brought them together. You can also get a steady few hours of play time from it, and its simplicity means you can put it down and go back to it later without having to shelf the memory to figure out where you left. I like this.
Blippo+
What can even be said Blippo+? This bizarre “1-bit TV” experience is the reward for the second game of the season 1, and it’s something. Panic started as a steam champion teasing in December 2024, but now for the play date, the hallucination show and fomtofax roster, an interactive message board where you can find affirmations, neighborhood drama, chatting among amateur astronomers, and more. Panic describes it as “can be with Twilight Zone“But it’s more like an old episode Twilight Zone If produced by Tim & Eric and aired after midnight while swimming in adults. I guess I’m fascinated by this?
I’m really interested in seeing where this is. It will continue to get new content along with the second remaining version of the season, with new episodes every week. I’ll completely park my playday on the dock (not stereo dock 3) and leave Blippo+ If it has enough fresh ingredients to maintain it, run in the background all day.
