Germany and Ukraine jointly develop new long-range weapons as UN experts accuse Russian war crimes

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Wednesday during a visit to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Berlin will help Kief develop new long-range weapons that could hit targets on Russian territory. He said the defense ministers of both countries will sign a memorandum to understand the understanding of producing long-range weapon systems, refusing to provide technical details or the manufacturer involved in the naming.
“There will be no scope limit, allow Ukraine defends itself fullyeven for military targets outside of your own territory. ” he said at a joint press conference.
Zelenskyy’s visit to Berlin comes days after Russia launched some of its heaviest missiles and drone attacks on conflict as president Trump’s voice is getting more and more frustrated With Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Ukrainian president accused Russia of halting peace talks and said Moscow did not want to stop its three-year invasion, adding: “They will keep looking for reasons not to end the war.”
UN experts concluded that the ongoing Russian strike is a war crime
“The huge air strikes, especially in the city of Kiev over the weekend, were not spoken of the language of peace, but of the war of aggression,” said Meers, “in the face of all those who tried to cease fire in Ukraine itself, but in Europe and the United States.”
The Russian military committed “crimes against humanity” in Ukraine’s Hesen region, especially drone attacks on civilian infrastructure, especially as the UN expert team concluded in a report published on Wednesday. The independent international Ukrainian investigation committee established by the UN Human Rights Commission said Russian armed forces hit civilians “systemically”.
“The Russian armed forces committed crimes of murder and attacks on civilians through months-long drone attacks on civilians on the right bank of the Dnipro River in Helsen province through months-long drone attacks, committing crimes of murder and attacks on civilians,” the investigation said in its atypical blunt instrument assessment. “The main purpose of these actions is to violate international humanitarian law to spread terror among civilians.”
The United Nations Panel added: “The attack continued at the time of this report’s release.”
Germany calls Ukrainian missiles “a new form of military cooperation”
Merz, who seized power earlier this month, vowed to firmly support Ukraine, but did not give a detailed description of which weapon Germany dispatched in line with strategically ambiguity policies.
He said. “We will not provide any other details until further notice.”

Merz called the project “the beginning of a new form of military industrial cooperation with great potential among our countries.”
Merz noted in a television interview this week that “there are no longer any weapons restricted to Ukraine – the British, the French, and we are not restricted by the Americans.”
“This means that Ukraine can now defend itself, for example, by attacking Russia’s military stance…with few exceptions, it has not been done until recently. It can now do this.”
Indeed, Ukraine’s claims to intensify its attacks on military and military industrial sites within Russia, including nearly 300 drones claimed by the Russian military to intercept overnight. The Ukrainian military blogger said the drones target drones, missiles and explosive manufacturing facilities, including one north of Moscow and other locations near the capital itself.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was quoted by the state-run Tass News Agency on Wednesday as saying the German-Ukraine partnership would escalate tensions between Russia and Europe, adding: “Germany directly attracted the war.”
However, Russia has been making charges for months, but Lavrov noted that German tanks are already on the battlefield, “so it’s already obvious that direct involvement in the war is.”
Tas quoted Lavrov as saying: “Germany is gliding along the same tilted plane, and in the last century it has moved several times – until it collapses. I hope the responsible politicians of this country will still draw the right conclusions and stop being crazy.”
Kremlin misled after suggesting Trump calls Putin “crazy”
Merz took over as centre-left leader Olaf Scholz, changing the tone of Berlin and harshly criticized Putin, who accused Putin this week, “Obviously, the quote from the conversation is a sign of weakness.”
Mr. Trump, who has long promised that he would quickly promote the end of the war, posted a rare Putin condemnation on social media on Sunday.
“I’ve always had a good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something happened to him. He was absolutely crazy!” said the president.
Moscow seemed to downplay his remarks at first, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov hinting that all parties were speaking under emotional overload conditions.
Asked about the U.S. president’s speech on Wednesday, longtime Putin aide Yuri Ushakov told the Russian state-run VGTRK news media that Moscow had ended Mr. Trump, “It is not well understood enough, especially, that Trump has not fully understood the mass terrorist attacks in Ukraine, which involves peaceful cities in opposing the Russian alliance.”
He said the U.S. leaders failed to “fully understand that the Russian Federation hit only in military infrastructure or in Ukraine’s military industrial complex.”
The false claim comes after Russian rockets and drone strikes attacked Ukrainian apartment buildings and other civilian infrastructure, killing hundreds of civilians.
On Tuesday, Mr. Trump warned that Putin said in an unconfirmed report that U.S. leaders are now considering new sanctions on Russia, a long-time call from U.S. NATO allies.
