Wayfair Sleep 8-inch Medium Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress for $122: this Extremely good The cheap cooling mattress consists of 8-inch regular memory foam and comes with a layer of cooling gel, charcoal and green tea-infused memory foam (which helps with freshness and absorbs odors), then has a soft and comfortable foam on a durable high-density foam base to help achieve full-range stress relief. The top layer has a breathable, woven jacquard design that helps keep the sleeper cool and has a foam top tight enough to help reduce movement transfer. The mattress is directly to your door boat, compatible with the adjustable base, with a 100-night trial and a 10-year manufacturer warranty.

Wayfair Sleep 13.5-inch Medium Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress for $280: This 13.5-inch cooling gel memory foam mattress is listed as a midsize company, but by far the most luxurious mattress I’ve ever slept with. The top layer is 2 inches of gel-infused memory foam, followed by 4.5 inches of comfort foam and a 7 inches of high-density base supporting foam at the bottom. This In-A-box bed is almost instantly raised to size, with low sports transfer, a 100-night trial and a limited 10-year warranty. The behemoth of this bed is super comfortable and literally covers my body, but I don’t think I want to have a bed with very few beds for a long time. If you are someone who loves super brilliant beds, then this is your mattress.

Wayfair Sleep 14-inch Plush Cooled Gel Mixed Mattress for $340: This 14-inch plush cooling gel mattress feels expensive and has no price tag. It has a top layer of cooling gel to keep it comfortable with your body and has classic pocket coils structured and supported underneath, with a layer of memory foam with varying thickness around it (the coil and memory foam mixture also contributes to low movement transfer). The knitted cover and sides contribute to breathability and overall “cooling effect”. This mattress is the plushest I’ve ever tested, but it doesn’t feel like it lacks structure due to its height and coils. I love the plush mattress, but I can see that it may be a little too plush for people with larger bodies, as the first super soft layer of memory foam is located on top of the coil system.

Wayfair Sleep Evan 10.5-inch Plush Cooled Gel Mixed Mattress for $280: The top is memory foam, then plush polyfoam, wrapped Innersprings and high-density base foam at the bottom; the top of the memory foam pillow is designed to reduce stress points and help reduce motion transfer, it is made of low-source material and has a breathable knitted cover to help create a cooling effect. The bed is compatible with adjustable base, comes with a 100-night trial and a 10-year warranty. This is a super comfortable, real plush mattress. But this isn’t as breathable as promised, so if you’re sleeping or want a mattress that’s noticeably cool, I don’t recommend it.

Wayfair Sleep 14-inch Medium Storage Foam Mattress for $290: This 14-inch mid-size memory foam mattress strikes a huge balance with structural firmness and twisted-shaped memory foam tops. It is made from certified foam and cotton-based fire retardant for added safety. Adjustable basic compatible mattress comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty and a 100-night trial. Although I tend to buy more plush mattresses, there is a nice balance between the medium-solid construction and the soft twisted open memory foam. This bed surprised me and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a moderate situation.

Wayfair Sleep 12-inch Intermediate Storage Foam Mattress, $270: This 12-inch medium memory foam mattress has breathable jacquard pattern covering that helps with airflow and memory foam infused into the 2-inch green tea on top to help with freshness and odor control, followed by 3.5-inch high-density foam. The rest is 6.5-inch high-density foam. The top layer has more dosage, and the memory foam distorts the body’s pressure points while the bottom layer is dense (helps hard). The mattress has good advantages to support, surprisingly sports transfer, adjustable base compatible, with 100 nights of trial and 10 years manufacturer warranty. Like all the others on this list, the bed is in the box. However, it wasn’t until over 12 hours after the disassembly, and it was a little firm in my taste.

One to avoid

Wayfair Sleep 6-inch Medium Storage Foam Mattress, $152: From Wayfair Sleep, this 6-inch memory foam mattress is marked as medium on a solid scale, looking and feeling like a plush camping pad. I will admit that when I pulled this mattress out of the A-Box mattress, I was very worried – it was vacuum sealed and didn’t pop out for nearly a day. Once you do this, it’s still thin. I measured it and the mat was slightly above 5.5 inches. If I put too much pressure on an area, I feel the hard box spring below – I think this works on the frame without some type of structure. I struggled to sleep for a few nights as the lid is made of polyester and most mattresses are made of high density foam without cooling gel or super breathable top fabric.

As mentioned above, we don’t necessarily think browsing this purchase is the best decision – everything after all decisions, you’ll spend about a third of your life. But if you are looking for a temporary bed, something cheaper for your office or guest room, or a place where people don’t sleep every day, that’s even cheaper. But if you’re just on a tight budget and are in a grand bed, some of them real I was deeply impressed.

Advantages of buying mattresses online

Online-only retailers like Amazon are a solid place to buy almost anything, but it is less favorable for buying a mattress than most other items. That’s because domestic manufacturers dominate bed games, and you can usually buy better deals directly from mattress manufacturers. Some of these brands can be used with two pillows or other discounts you buy, though not always – the few mattresses in this guide are actually cheaper on Amazon.

Most mattresses from A-Box sold online tend to be cheaper than those sold in stores, which is the main attraction. You can easily compare various versions of the same thing (i.e. memory foam or mixed mattress) and send it directly to your home.

Many online retailers have exceptions to mattresses when returning goods terms. Once the box is opened, you will be at the mercy of manufacturers, rather than being covered by more generous terms offered by these online retailers, such as most of the products offered by Amazon. If you are looking for a mattress below $500, you should not expect any test period or money back guarantee (and that is reasonable expectation they expect any mattress over $1,000). The situation in the middle area varies greatly.

The downside of shopping online is that you can’t test the showroom of the mattress until you find the perfect fit. Coupled with the fact that bad actors can seriously comment on it, it’s hard to know what’s worth your time and what’s not. Wired does this for you, taking at least a week, and even without longer, sleeping on some of the cheapest mattresses you can buy online – we are looking for a good sleep sleep.

We slept on a variety of different firmness, materials and fill mattresses to find the best mattress we consider to be at least one week at a time, at a budget-friendly price point. We slept with our partners in all kinds of temperatures and even jumped to bed to test things like low motion transfer and edge support. Some of these cheap mattresses are far beyond what you expect to spend roughly on a fancy dinner.
