Back in March, Nintendo released the Nintendo Today app, the company’s hub for the latest news about its games and the upcoming Switch 2. However, Nintendo does not seem to want to share certain news about its apps through screenshots.
On the app, there are some videos for you to watch the upcoming Switch 2 game, but the resulting screenshots are blank when you try to take screenshots from those videos, as gamers reported on Monday. This only happens in the video. Allows to take screenshots of slideshows.

CNET contacted Nintendo before publication and is waiting for a response.
Nintendo does seem to be pulling out all stops to control the sharing of any content related to Switch 2, which will be launched on June 5 respectively. Last year, Nintendo began using digital rights management technology Denuvo for switch games, which would prevent them from imitating on PCs. Nintendo recently updated its user agreement to allow the company to transfer any switch console bricks that have been modified through software or hardware. In Japan, it blocks people trying to switch 2 consoles.

If more than 2 switches have traveled more than one week, it is unlikely to start without reservation, but it is not impossible. Best Buy, GameStop and Nintendo stores in New York City and San Francisco will hold midnight launches for people who order early, but there may be some extra products the next day. Nintendo filed a delay due to tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, which sold out quickly at all major retailers. Nintendo sold pre-orders for the Switch 2 through its online store earlier this month, but the company said some of them won’t be possible until the console is officially released.
The Switch 2 is issued at $450 and is $500 with Mario Kart World. Nintendo said the price could rise sometime after the launch, depending on how the tariffs affect the cost of the console. Nintendo did raise the price of Switch 2 accessories on the day of launch.
