Google Photos is 10 years old. To mark the anniversary, the company has made a revamp of the app’s editing. Naturally, AI plays a leadership role.
The redesigned photo adds Pixel 9’s Magic Editor’s formerly exclusive AI-powered editor. This includes an automatic frame that suggests crops for your photos. If new parts are needed, it will generate them using AI.
Moving from pixels is also a reimagination. Here you can add elements like autumn leaves or non-existent green grass. It can be a neat and disturbing part. We describe it as “fuzzing which memories of yours are real and which are not.” The results are so convincing that Google recently began using them as water markers generated by AI.
Google Photos update also adds a new AI enhancement feature. As edge Note that selecting it will produce three edits. (It generates them with existing tweaks such as sharpening and tearing down objects.) Then, you choose the result you like the most. New AI enhancements are located in the edit menu, as well as the application’s existing enhancements and dynamic buttons.
Google also makes it easier to share albums. Now you can generate a QR code that links to the album. Have friends scan directly or print it out in group settings.
The redesigned editor arrives on Android devices in June. Google said the iOS version will follow “later this year.”
