You can now play all the original recordings of Taylor Swift for free again

She read that you never fight, so she just went and won. Taylor Swift told fans in a letter posted on the website on Friday that Taylor Swift purchased her master’s degree directly.

After a long battle, Swift’s original record label Big Machine sold the Masters to Scooter Braun, the singer-songwriter has now acquired her first six albums, music videos, concert films, album art and photography, unreleased songs, her “whole life work, Shamrock Holdings.”

It was an exciting time for fans like me. Swift apparently lost his disappointment by losing the opportunity to own a master and describes her victory in having her entire work in “the greatest dream come true.” Her Times Tour has been held throughout 2023 and 2024 and has been celebrating her musical legacy so far, which has made those of us lucky to be able to participate in all of Swift’s music, whether she had it or not at the time.

To gain ownership of the owner, Swift re-recorded and released four of her first six albums – Fearless, now said, Red and 1989 – with the suffix “(Taylor’s Version)” and previously unreleased songs called “The Vault Track.” Swift revealed in a letter Friday that she also re-recorded her debut album, Taylor Swift, but did not re-record her sixth album reputation. She added that at some point she might unleash a vault with a huge reputation that she previously described as “Fire” and made her debut (Taylor’s version), but had no plans to do so immediately.

Over the past few years, Swifties has played the original version of Swift’s records on Swift’s records very tricky, as royalties directly benefit those who bought Masters without her consent. But now Swift has all of her music again, it’s fair to play to listen to the original on Spotify, Apple Music, or any streaming service you subscribe to.

So even if reputation (Taylor’s version) and Taylor Swift (Taylor’s version) won’t come to the streaming service anytime soon, I know what I’ll do tonight. I’m going to celebrate this victory by blasting, and I only have my other top tracks that are underrated on Spactify (the first one that is underrated on Spotify) (while still crossing my fingers, one day I can do the same with an unreleased vault track, I’ll lie).
