Amarillo police seek public help to find suspicious vehicles in deadly crash
A 73-year-old male pedestrian was killed overnight on Amarillo Boulevard, and Amarillo police are seeking public help to find the suspect’s vehicle.
Amarillo officials were dispatched to the 700 block of East Amarillo Avenue around 1:02 a.m. on May 3, and reported that the body was located in the driveway. Officers found a 73-year-old man lying on the road with signs of being hit by a vehicle. He was taken to a regional hospital where he died from injuries caused by a crash.
The Amarillo Police Department said it was later discovered that a dark SUV-style vehicle had been driving westward on the Amarillo Boulevard, attacking pedestrians, and then left the scene without stopping or rendering assistance.

Porter County Justice Gary Jackson contacted the autopsy and ordered an autopsy, APD said.
The APD’s Traffic Investigation Team is investigating the incident. When posted Saturday morning, the victim’s family was not found or notified.
