Airplane landing in the Riviera Country Club

A plane landed suddenly on the famous golf course on Friday due to the obvious engine.

The single-engine aircraft made an emergency landing in the middle of the Riviera Country Club, but no reports were reported.

According to Los Angeles Traffic News, three passengers landed on the plane around 1 p.m.

“The pilots face obvious engine problems, skillfully maneuvering the aircraft to avoid danger and land safely on the golf course,” Tnla said.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the accident, TNLA added.

The course will host the Olympics in 2028 and will host the U.S. Open and two PGA Championships in 1948 (1983 and 1995).

Golf is “temporarily destroyed” in the course, which hosts annually the Genesis Invitational Tournament hosted by Tiger Woods.

The 2025 competition was played at Torrey Pines as Riviera Country Club was damaged by wildfires earlier this year.

Ludvig Aberg won the championship.
