“Rupaul’s Drag Race” star dies 44 days after losing “most of his right leg”

Jiggly Caliente made her reputation for “Rupauul’s Drag Race” in 2011, and died a few days after a “severe health setback” that resulted in her legs losing several days. She is 44 years old.
Caliente’s family (real name Bianca Castro-Arabejo) announced her sudden death on Instagram on Sunday.
“We announce the death of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, a world-famous one that many people cherish. Bianca passed away peacefully at 4:42 am on April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones and close friends.”

“In a world of entertainment and advocacy, Gigley’s Caliente is known for her infectiousness, fierce wit and unwavering authenticity,” the family continued. “She has moved countless lives through art, activism, and through real connections with fans around the world.”

“Her legacy is a kind of love, courage and light. Even though her physical presence disappears, the joy she shares and the space she creates for many will remain forever,” the post concluded. “She will be missed deeply, loved and remembered forever.”

“[We] “Bianca experienced serious health setbacks last month,” the family wrote. “She was hospitalized due to a severe infection and thus experienced most of the loss of her right leg,” the family wrote on Instagram on April 24. ”
“Due to these circumstances, Bianca will not be present in the upcoming ‘Rupaul Philippine Racing’ season, nor will she participate in any public events for the foreseeable future. Her rehabilitation will be extensive.”
Caliente first appeared on “Rupauul’s Drag Race” in his fourth season in 2011 and began serving as judge for three seasons in “Philippine Drag Race” in 2022.
Filipinos appear on various TV shows, including FX’s “Position”, “Search Party” and “Saturday Night Live”.
