“The evil time may be an hour, but God will have his day”

Kyofu (Reuters) – President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged Easter on Sunday to urge Ukrainians not to give up hope that peace will return to their country and to persevere in overcoming their difficult war path on a 1,152-day trip.

Sitting in a grey traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt, Zelenskiy stood in front of the main church in Kiev, Saint Sophia Cathedral said in a social media video that Ukraine never lost confidence.

“Because this belief is between one another,” Zelenskiy, the Jewish man said in a message full of lyrical and emotional. “Among those who stand beside you.

Russian President Vladimir Putin attended Easter on Saturday when he announced a one-day ceasefire in Ukraine, which fell on the same day as the Orthodox and Western churches this year. But Zelenskiy said earlier Sunday that Russian troops pretended to be suspended hostilities and continued overnight attempts to cause losses in front of Ukraine.

“We know what we are defending. We know what we are fighting for.

“The day of life will come. The day of peace. The day of Ukraine. A day that lasts for a century. We will be able to gather together again. On a table. On a peaceful Easter.”
