Etsy is selling online music equipment market reverb
Etsy sells reverbs six years after buying the online marketplace of musical instruments. Reverb didn’t reveal how much it was changing hands, but Etsy bought the company for $275 million in 2019. In the announcement, Reverb said Servco, the Investors Creator Partners founded by former SoundCloud CEO Kerry Trainor, owner of Fender Mumiltoments Corporation, has obtained the company’s agreement. The market will not merge with any investor and will “private control” [and] Operation independently “just like before Etsy’s acquisition.
Reverb CEO David Mandelbrot said the deal is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. He assured users that they can continue to buy and sell on the platform without any interruptions in the process. He also briefly discussed the company’s work for users, including preparing for pilots of new sales options that will allow people to get paid faster and remove their tools locally without creating a list for them. This can help buyers who want to get equipment locally when available, and it can also help buyers who don’t want to pay extra tariffs. Reverb is also working to make it easier for you to find what buyers want and in a way that allows sellers to ship their instruments more securely.
