Children of 10 children killed by Israeli strike in Gaza

Israeli air strikes flattened the three-story house in Gaza City on Saturday, killing 10 people (half of the children) as Arab mediators scrambled to restart the ceasefire.

According to health officials, Israel’s strike killed at least 49 people in the past 24 hours.

According to the SHIFA Hospital, which received the body, the dead included three women and five children in a morning airstrike in a community in western Gaza.

Israeli troops said it attacked Hamas militants, whose structure of his operation collapsed, adding that the collapse was under review.

“There is no resistance between them,” Saed al-Khour said, losing his family during the strike. “From now on, we have been evacuating the remains of children, women and seniors.” He stood in the rubble, under the sloping ceiling.

Hamas said on Saturday that it had sent a high-level delegation to Cairo in an attempt to get the ceasefire (that was crushed by Israeli bombers last month) back on track.

Israel vowed to continue the war until all hostages returned and Hamas was destroyed or disarmed and exiled. It said it will hold a portion of Gaza indefinitely and implement U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for population resettlement in other countries, a proposal that has been widely rejected internationally.

Hamas said it will release only dozens of hostages it holds in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, Israel’s complete evacuation and a lasting ceasefire, as required in January’s now-extinct agreement.

Israeli air strikes have destroyed part of the last fully functional hospital in Gaza City, Al-Ahli Arab Hospital. Witnesses said the strike destroyed the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Hamas said his delegation would discuss with Egyptian officials the group’s vision for ending the war, which also included reconstruction.

Officials said other Hamas officials arrived in Cairo earlier this week to discuss a proposal that included a five-to-7-year truce and the release of all remaining hostages.

Egyptian officials and one in anonymity are developing the proposal, which includes the gradual evacuation of Israeli forces from Gaza and the release of Palestinian prisoners.

Israel’s blockade continues

Israel continued its nearly two-month lockdown on Gaza, despite aid groups warning that supply is being reduced.

On Friday, the United Nations World Food Program said its food stocks in Gaza were exhausted, ending the main source of sustenance for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. It says dozens of charitable kitchens it supports are expected to run out of food in the coming days.

According to the United Nations, about 80% of Gaza’s population exceeds 2 million, relying mainly on food from charitable kitchens, as other sources have been closed under Israel’s lockdown.

Ramadan Ramadan says households who fasted during Ramadan have struggled with sales dropping and prices soaring after Israel created nearly a month of lockdown on goods entering Gaza.

“At the same time, nearly 3,000 life-saving savior life-saving aid trucks are ready to enter Gaza,” the UN Palestinian refugee agency said on social media. “The siege must stop.”

Hamas called on Saturday to immediately revoke its decision on the Palestinian refugee agency and was not immune to prosecution, saying it had taken a dangerous step as a close Israeli ally.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the Israeli attack killed more than 51,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children. Israel said it has killed about 20,000 militants and provided no evidence.

According to the Israeli Soles, the war began on October 7, 2023, when militants led by Israeli Hamas attacked southern Israel, killing about 1,200 people and bringing 251 people back to Gaza. The militants still have 59 hostages, 24 are believed to be alive, and most of the rest are released in a ceasefire agreement or other transactions.
