Ouch! Fox News viewers have a disturbing truth about Trump on live TV
President Donald Trump’s recognition rate is falling – even Fox News can’t spin it.
The right-wing network is often a secure space for Maga Faithful, which shared its latest poll on Wednesday, suggests that the president’s approval rate is now far behind other 21st century presidents.
Trump’s approval rate in nearly 100 days of office was 44%, compared with 54% for Joe Biden, 62% for Barack Obama and 63% for George W. Bush at the same time.
He is even behind himself: Trump’s approval rate is 45%, in the 100-day mark of his term.
The poll was driven in part by economic issues, a strong position Trump had during his first term. But for the moment, only 38% agree on how he handles the economy, while 56% disagree on it. He also went deeper underwater on inflation (33% approval, 59% disagree) and tariffs (33% approval, 58% disagree) according to the polls.
Trump’s overall recognition rate of 44% is also down by five points from the 49% approval rate he enjoyed in the March Fox News poll.
Fox News polls are not outliers.
A new Reuters/IPSOS poll found that his overall recognition rate was 42%, with only 37% acknowledging how he handled the economy. A new Pew poll found that his approval rate was only 40%, down 7 points in two months.
The average of RealClearpolitics poll found his disapproval rate jumped 12 points in three months to now be 51.6%, compared with 46.1% of those approved.
