Major retailers in the U.S. like Best Buy, GameStop and Walmart, they will make reservations starting April 24, but not exactly at the same time, and they don’t offer the same pickup and delivery options for each other on June 5. Allow us here to be confused for anyone planning to desperately secure a Switch 2 reservation on Thursday.

Everyone will open their business on the 24th, but they won’t do business the same way. A little bit of advice that will work for all these retailers: Use your payment and shipping information on their website or app before the booking window begins, so you don’t have to waste precious seconds at checkout to fill in that information. This helped me get my PS5 that day.
How to book a switch 2 at Walmart
Walmart is another company that does things with a very easy grip. Like Best Buy, you will be able to book No. 2 consoles, games and accessories on the Walmart website on midnight April 24. Walmart is also expected to deliver the console by 9 a.m. by 9 a.m. by 9 a.m. by 9 a.m.
How to book a switch on a target 2
There isn’t much to say about Target’s Nintendo Switch 2 booking strategy. Just like Best Buy and Wal-Mart, if you visit Target’s website at midnight on April 24, you should at least be able to try Booking switch 2. Good luck.

GameStop is the four retailers listed here, doing things differently on the 24th. That said, bookings won’t start at midnight. Instead, when each store is usually opened, they start face to face or start online orders at 11 a.m. on April 24. If you try to find another retailer at midnight, set an alert after 11 hours before shooting again.
How to book 2 at Best Buy
Best Buy has a corporate blog post that explains how its Switch 2 reservations work, which is pretty straightforward. In short, you can pre-order Switch 2, any game Mario Karting Worldand any accessories you may wish to start on Best Buy’s website or mobile app on April 24. Retail stores will also offer reservations starting during normal opening hours, so be sure to open when your local best buy is open if you plan to achieve this in person.
Can you pre-order Switch 2 on Amazon?
You will notice that there is a major retailer that has been significantly missing so far – Amazon. That’s because Amazon is not an official retailer for Nintendo, so any Switch 2 console you find may have a list of dealers with suspicious legality. However, Amazon shoppers can pre-order some Switch 2 titles before launching.

Just in case these options don’t work for you, there’s also a way to try pre-order with Switch 2: Buy it directly from Nintendo.
Although the warning process is a bit strange. If you visit Nintendo’s booking site, you will be prompted to log in with an active, paid Nintendo Switch online account. The paid part is important and I will notice why in a minute. Once you do this, you can choose a Switch 2 standalone console or Mario Karting World Bundle and press the confirm button “Register your interests” to book switch 2. These bookings will start appearing on May 8, not April 24.
Now it’s weird stuff. Switch only online members who have served for at least 12 months and Register for at least 50 hours of gameplay on their switch console will get an invitation link starting May 8. In other words, if you want to book this way, it is better to be a real switch gamer. Anyway, if you qualify, you may get an invitation link to the booking page on May 8. Nintendo also confirmed that these invitations will stand out in the waves after May 8, so don’t be too discouraged if you don’t attend that day.
